Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro is a big and bold cigar made by the Drew Estate factory. In 2009 the rollers were told to stop smoking Liga Privada because demand was too high. Instead of getting upset they decided to make their own blend using similar tobaccos and this is what they came up with. The Undercrown Maduro.
Wrapped in a dark and oily San Andres Maduro wrapper this cigar is smooth, flavorful and balanced. Inside is a blend of Nicaraguan and Brazilian Mata Fina fillers with a Connecticut Stalk Cut Habano binder. It starts with strong coffee and earth notes followed by a touch of spice that builds as you smoke. You may also taste oak, leather and sweet vanilla with a roasted coffee bean finish.
Undercrown Maduro is medium to full bodied and burns slow and even. Great for new and experienced cigar smokers. In 2017 it got a 91 rating and was one of the Top 25 Cigars of the Year.
