El Trovador Maduro is a cigar from PDR Cigars, blended by Abe Flores. “El Trovador” means “Troubadour,” a name he chose after spotting a vintage Cuban brand on a trip to Cuba—and also as a nod to his love for music. This version, the Maduro, was introduced a year after the original blend. It uses a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, which is dark, rich, and slightly oily. Underneath, it has a double binder made of Nicaraguan and Nicaraguan Corojo leaves, with a filler blend of strong Nicaraguan tobaccos. In detail, the filler includes two parts Ligero and one-and-a-half parts Viso.
This cigar offers a medium to full body, delivering bold, rich flavors. On lighting up, you will notice earthy and chocolate tones, with sweet and spicy hints balancing the taste. Many smokers also detect touches of black pepper, malt, and cinnamon. The smoke is smooth, with a good draw and a satisfying finish. It comes in several sizes—Robusto, Corona Gorda, Gran Toro, and Petit Robusto—so you can choose your favorite format. Overall, El Trovador Maduro brings both heart and craft in every puff.
