Coffee and cigars have always been a perfect pair, so PDR decided to bring them together in one smoke. That idea gave life to the PDR 1878 Roast Café, first introduced at the 2018 IPCPR show. It is a line of coffee-infused cigars made to taste as good with your morning cup as it does after dinner.
The Roast Café comes in three “roasts,” just like coffee. The Natural Roast wears a light Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper and offers a smooth, mild sweetness. The Medium Roast uses an Ecuadorian Sun Grown Claro wrapper for a balanced smoke with a touch more spice. For those who like it bold, the Dark Roast comes dressed in a rich Brazilian Maduro wrapper, delivering deep notes of espresso, chocolate, and earth.
All three blends share the same heart: a Dominican Criollo ’98 binder and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 fillers. The infusion of real coffee flavors, with a hint of cane sugar in some, makes the smoke smooth, aromatic, and never overpowering. It’s a cigar that feels familiar yet exciting, much like the first sip of a fresh cup.
Available in Corona, Robusto, and Toro sizes, each cigar is rolled to perfection and packed in boxes of 20. Whether you prefer light, medium, or bold flavors, the PDR 1878 Roast Café lets you enjoy your coffee and cigar in one delicious draw.
